is the brainchild of Kevin Williams, who for over thirty years has combined a successful performing and writing life with a very prolific producing/promoting career. In the 70's, he was a member of Chichester Festival New Ventures (headed by Tony Robinson), wrote & premiered shows at Perth Theatre, York Theatre Royal, Queens Theatre Hornchurch, Cochrane Theatre, London. In the 80's, with Peter Straker, he was resident producer/director of Alive on Sunday @ Xenon Piccadilly, London, giving opportunity to the likes of Rory Bremner, Jeremy Hardy, Arthur Smith, Tony Slattery, Julian Clary, & a host of others, also writing shows for Newcastle Playhouse, Bloomsbury Theatre, Paramount City, London, & the National Theatre's Educational Department. In the 90's, with John Hole, Kevin was director/producer of WestStage, co-writing/producing for the Royal Opening of the Charles Cryer Theatre, resident producer of the Boulevard Theatre, London, culminating in the transfer of Bob Carlton's 'From a Jack to a King' to the Ambassador's Theatre, London, also writing/directing/producing a host of productions for the Edinburgh Festival and beyond, winning him several Spirit of the Fringe Awards, a Best New Play Award for his play 'The Pigsty', and a Total Theatre Nomination for his multimedia dance/drama 'GO4'. Kevin won a Best New Venue Award for his ClubWEST Edinburgh Festival Venue in 1999 and since then has produced or promoted no less than 30 shows. Everything from Sylvester McCoy in a multi-media Samuel Beckett, to Asian Comedy group The Funjabis, John Otway, Dana Gillespie, Phil Cool, Roddy Maude-Roxby, International Mascall Dance, New Plays by Andrew Dallmeyer, Steve Gooch, & a variety of up and coming talents from both home and abroad. Kevin has finally found a permanent home for his theatre cocktails. It is one of the most exciting spaces ever, on the site of the old prison cells beneath Arundel Town Hall; a perfect cavernous atmospheric setting for specially devised new works that also has a wonderfully authentic Dickensian whiff about it - ideal for new adaptations of the classic variety:
